How much will I use mobile broadband?

In writing the previous post I have just been looking around the Three mobile broadband website. They have a handy little feature that gives you an idea of how much data you can download on your computer or laptop. It gives you a good idea of what you can expect to get for your money.

What I like about Three, is the information is pretty clear (although some people have struggled with the process of redeeming a mobile broadband voucher online); you have to go over a few hurdles to get the credit added on and verified to your mobile broadband credit account. With mobiles you just buy the voucher and then call a number to add the credit to your phone.

You will need to check with each of the mobile broadband providers separately to see what their pricing is like for the same mobile broadband top-ups.

Small print from the Three website.

The data usage examples are estimated, to give you a rough idea of what you get for your gigabytes. Don’t forget, applications which automatically download software (like Google Maps) will take up some of your internet allowance too.
