Pay as you go broadband – with Plusnet
Plusnet broadband offer two residential broadband deals (so not for business broadband or mobile broadband users).
If you use the internet for less than 10 hours per week then the Plusnet pay as you go service could be the home broadband deal for you.
You connect with no commitments – e.g. no contract, and there are no limits on your usage.
You connect to Plusnet by connecting to a low-call telephone number using any land-line telephone and are charged on a per minute basis. The Plusnet service simply uses a 56k modem (so really slow connection speeds) and you will need to use an existing modem (it will most likely be in-built into your computer but do check)
For more product information on the Plusnet pay as you go service, visit the Plusnet website.
Plusnet offer two versions of their payg broadband service; a Standard service and Premier service. To compare the PAYG service on Plusnet, visit their broadband comparison page.
The Premier broadband service offers all the standard service but for a small monthly fee (and a 1 month rolling contract) you get a few extra features including increased webspace for building yourself a home on the internet (this includes support for Microsoft frontpape).
Other broadband providers – including AOL and Madasafish provide pay as you go broadband services. Brief posts will be added about them soon. To visit the Madasafish website click here.
