telegraph-logoJust came across an article in the Telegraph. Provides tactics of which broadband provider to use for different situations. Here is their snippet on PAYG deals.

You can get pay as you go mobile broadband deals if you don’t want to be locked in. For example, with 3′s mobile broadband pay as you go deal, you pay £29.35 for the USB stick and then from £10 per 1GB download. O2 charges the same for the stick and from £7.50 per 1GB download.

Another handy paraphrased snippet…

Mobile broadband allows you to cut out your line rental completely. For a set monthly fee you’ll receive a dongle or USB modem stick that you plug into your laptop, allowing you to connect to the internet, no matter where you are, at speeds of up to 3.6Mb.

With O2 for example, you pay a monthly charge of £9.79 for the first four months, and £14.69 thereafter. The download limit is 3GB, and you must sign up to the contract for 24 months. The only problem with signing up to contracts that are longer than a few months is that technology is moving quickly so you might find that you could get faster speeds and cheaper dongles in a matter of months.

For further information -visit the O2 website or visit the Three website.
