Vodafone iphone, pay as you go broadband?

Vodafone and Apple have confirmed that they have reached agreement to bring iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS to the UK and Ireland in early 2010.

Beginning today, Vodafone UK and Vodafone Ireland customers can register their interest in the iphone at www.vodafone.co.uk/iphone (visit the Vodafone website for more information – the iphone link is on their front page). Pricing, tariffs and availability information will be announced locally in the future. Vodafone now offers iPhone through thirteen of its operating companies.

There is surely going to be a pay as you go offering. I hope so anyway. And the more mobile phone operators that sell the iphone, the better the prices will be, as they become more competitive.

Why am I covering this item? Because the iphone allows you to connect to the internet whenever you can recieve a wi-fi or mobile connection. The iphone is also a pretty convincing netbook and mobile phone alternative. So if you want to get on the mobile internet without the hassle of a broadband dongle, then keep an eye on the Vodafone and Orange iphone offerings.

also the iphone 3gs allows internet tethering so you can use it to get a 3g connection on your pc or mac

Voda seem to have pricier plans than orange for the 16gb version. Again, absolutely no customer loyalty from any of these companies. Doesnt matter that you spent £3000 in ten years, anybody gets the deals, no discounts for existing customers………..rip off GB again.

yeahs looks like there’s no massive swing in the price, but for me Vodafone has a bunch of other bonuses that work its way:

-First Vodafone have a larger data allowance on their ‘Unlimited’ internet package,

-I gather customer service is much better than O2

-and their 3G coverage is much more comprehensive.
